What hardware do I need?

All you need is a Pentium computer with Windows 95 or 98.   That's it !!!  If you want to capture video data, you will need to get the IOmega Buz capturing card (cost $150) or another capturing card.  The advantage of the Buz is that it provides a true 60 fields per second data capture.  Many other cards can capture only 30 fields per second.  You can use either Analog or Digital Cameras. You can store the "pictures" directly to the hard disk by plugging your Camcorder into your computer or from a video cassette using the VCR.  If you have a Notebook, you will need a capture card that connects to the parallel input (where the printer is connected) and grab frame by frame.  Make sure that the grabbed file is in the normal .AVI or .MPEG format.  These are standard formats and the APAS system uses only standard formats.  (Most other companies utilize specialized, unique file formats that are incompatible with other software packages.)  If you are interested in collecting analog data from EMG or Force Plates, you will need an A/D converter.  We recommend the "ComputerBoards" company which is the inexpensive and as reliable as more costly boards.  (A 330 kHz sampling board for 16 channels input should cost approximately $500.00.)
